Certification Process
Successful candidates receive an official IOSH Approved Managing Safely® Digital Certificate issued directly by IOSH (within 10 working days following review of their assessment). While IOSH certificates do not have a formal expiry date, health and safety legislation, workplace practices, and organisational risks can change over time.Refresher training is generally recommended every 3 years to help maintain knowledge, reinforce best practice, and ensure managers remain confident in their health and safety responsibilities.
Process on Certification Following Completed Course and Assessment:
Once the candidate has completed their assessment, it will be reviewed and marked and will take approximately 7 working days to receive their result.
The candidate will receive an email with their result. If a candidate fails, they will be given 2 more attempts on the assessment. If they pass, their certificate will come directly from IOSH. The candidate will receive an email in approximately 10 working days. The email will ask the candidate to register for an account on the IOSH system, or to log into an existing IOSH account if they already have one. When registering, the candidate must use the same email address used for their H21 e-learning account. If a candidate tries to register on their IOSH account with a different email address, it won’t work. Once they have registered on their IOSH account, it will allow them to log in and download a PDF of their certificate.
